Saturday 8 August 1998 at 12.30 pm Harry HitchingHarry Hitching is a native of Ennis, Co. Clare. From 1995 to 1997 he was organist at Ennis Cathedral. For the past year, he has been organ scholar at St Patrick's College, Maynooth, where he is studying mathematics and music. He studies organ with Professor Gerard Gillen. His previous teachers were Raymond O'Donnell and Frank Lawrence. In July 1997 he was a participant in the Oundle International Summer School for young organists. He studies piano with Leonard Dorrian, having worked formerly with Carmel Griffin and Rosemary Walsh at Maoin Cheoil an Chláir in Ennis. Harry also plays trumpet and was for some years a member of Ennis Brass Band. |
