Saturday 30 August 1997 at 12.30 pm Beatrix HermannBeatrix Hermann comes from Villingen, in southern Germany. In the 1980s she held the position of Church Organist there, and studied with the Music Director, Bernd Boie. In 1989 she came to Ireland and took up organ studies with Peter Sweeney at the College of Music in Dublin. Since 1994 she has performed various recitals in both Ireland and Germany. Beatrix has also specialised in contemporary organ music over the last four years. She has performed and recorded contemporary Irish and French music for RTÉ. Her plans for the future include further study with John Scott in London, recitals in Ireland (north and south) and Germany, a première of a new work and further recordings for the BBC. |
