David Grealy
David
Grealy, a native of Galway city, is a student of music and history
in NUI Maynooth. His initial training in music was with Patricia Lillis
(piano and voice) and Mark Keane (organ). He now studies organ under Professor
Gerard Gillen at NUIM. A former organ scholar in Galway Cathedral, where
he studied organ and choral conducting under Raymond O’Donnell,
he has been organ scholar in St. Mary’s Pro-Cathedral, Dublin since
September 2006. He has won a number of prizes at the Dublin Féis
Ceoil including the Stanford Prize for organ in 2003 and the Advanced
Organ Prize in 2005.
