Johannes Ebenbauer

Johannes Ebenbauer studied church music at the Musikhochschule in Graz. His studies also included solo singing and theology. He subsequently studied concert organ performance at the Vienna Hochschule. Since 1991 he has been Kapellmeister at St Stephen's Cathedral in Vienna; he is also the diocesan advisor for sacred music in Vienna. He performs regularly throughout Europe as organist and conductor. He was a prizewinner at the first international improvisation competition in Linz in 1988 and is in demand as a teacher of improvisation, sacred music and organ.
